They require the steward to act from their deepest orientation rather than from the precedent of previous decisions.
The failure mode in this sub-domain is not bad judgment. It is the avoidance of judgment altogether — the indefinite deferral of the decisive question, the substitution of process for decision, the accumulation of advisors whose proliferation becomes a structural barrier to the clarity their collective excellence was assembled to produce.
CURANS addresses Existential Decisions through the Quantum Coherence protocol: the deliberate cultivation of the inner state from which these decisions can be made with integrity.
